Is Ramayan true or fiction?Īn international team of researchers consisting of geneticists, anthropologists, archaeologists and historians have found that Ramayana, written 10,000 years ago, is a chronicle of events and characters recorded by Sage Valmiki and not a work of fiction. Bajrang Bali met Lord Ram when he was undergoing a 14 year exile in forest, and promised to him that he shall help locate his wife, Seeta Mata, who had been abducted by Ravana. When we go through the story of Lord Hanuman in Ramayana, we find the tale to be tremendously inspiring it brings to one every ingredient that a person requires to overcome obstacles in his life. Lord Hanuman is the epitome of might, virtues, wisdom and humility. Vayuputra, the greatest heroes in the epic of Ramayana, is believed to be an incarnation of Lord Shiva. While the story of Lord Hanuman is inspiring in every essence, one needs to read and grasp more thoroughly to get a more refined cognition, and recognize the values that are expressed by the deity. Vedic philosophy of Ramayana has been maintained pretty much on the same lines since millennia! I consider Mahabharata secular because it deals with the power struggle between the cousins., While the five brothers called Pandavas are the protagonists of this story, their cousins numbering a hundred are their adversaries. While Ramayana can be associated with the Hindu religion, the Mahabharata is largely secular, though the Hindu God Krishna plays a prominent role in the story. It is one of the two great epics of ancient India, the other one being the Ramayana. Anyone who has taken even a casual interest in the culture and tradition of India would not have missed hearing about the great epic called Mahabharata.
